General Commentary and Game Overview
You VS Boo DX is an excellent game with even more potential. Despite the fact that this was only the demo version, this game has impressed me to a great degree. As the name implies, Mario must race against a Boo for some kind of reason. You VS Boo DX utilizes its resources quite well, but some areas could be better.

Pros Excellent sprite animation!
Addicting gameplay! (I didn't to stop until I beat the fastest Boo in at least one of the levels)

Cons Some of the levels can be frustrating a times.

Impressions
Gameplay
9 / 10
The gameplay is fun and fast-paced, but it can be frustrating!
You can race as most of the forms that appear in New Super Mario Bros. Your progress is displayed in a "second screen" which makes it feel similar to New Super Mario Bros. The button placement may confuse some people, and it could activate the sticky keys function. Luckily, the game offers a button configuration option. The level design in a couple levels makes completing the level a challenge to make it to the end.

Graphics
9 / 10
The sprite animation is silky-smooth!
The 8-bit graphics give the game a "retro" feel! Sadly, the Boo is a recycled Boo from Super Mario World with a color swap.

Sound
8 / 10
The sound effects are great, but the music doesn't fit into a couple of the levels.

Replay
10 / 10
There's plenty of room for experimenting! Try to race the fastest Boo against Mega Mario. You can also try to beat your high score!

Final Words
10 / 10
Bottom Line: This game is definately worth a play or two, and you may become addicted to it. The gameplay is lacking in a couple areas, but the fun factor is quite high overall. 10/10 (not an average)
