General Commentary and Game Overview
SMB: Remastered! seems to be an attempt at recreating the feel of traditional Mario games, but fails due to several odd things.

Pros The engine is well done.
The graphics are pretty well done.

Cons The music is painful to listen to.
The colors seem a bit too faded.
A few glitches seem to be present.

Impressions
Gameplay
6 / 10
The gameplay seems to be standard Mario fare, and featuires the basics of Mario platforming.

A few odd glitches occured, though; once on 1-3 Mario went through a mushroom platform.

Mario's jumps seemed far too floaty, often causing him to miss jumps; stopping Mario seemed to be a bit difficult, as well, taking far too long to stop, allowing him to fling himself off platforms while stopping; sending him to his doom.

Graphics
5 / 10
The graphics are from the original Super Mario Bros.; recolored to resemble the actual characters more.

However, the colors on the sprites often seemed either too dark, or too light; and generally just didn't seem to look all that good.

Sound
2 / 10
I'm guessing that's VGMusic Midis playing; because I thought my ears were bleeding.

Replay
5 / 10
The game is pretty well made, and the level design is interesting; so I'd say there is a bit of replay value in it.

Final Words
5 / 10
This game could turn out to be good; if it was fixed up a bit.
