General Commentary and Game Overview

There are some games that are ruined by a single flaw. This is one of them. YVW has many brilliant features, but there is one which brings it down. Read on.

Pros	Good level design, creative graphics, good concept, fun for a while.
Cons	The horrible life bar idea, poor music (But it's only the former that ruins the game).

Impressions

Gameplay 5 / 10	Here is the problem. First let me say that when I got this, I was expecting something along the lines of Yoshi's Island or Yoshi's Story. Well, there's nothing so complex here. It's just classic arcade-like kill-all-enemies play. And it'll take brains to know where to attack some enemies from, and skill to do it, which is where this game's charm comes from. The gameplay on its own is great. However, it is ruined by the life bar. You have the same lifebar for every level you go to, so it gradually dwindles through each level. Then, when you finally lose it all, you must start the whole game over again. I can't tell you how old that'll get. What should have been done instead is that you should have a new, full life bar for each new level you get to, and at least more than one life to try to beat that level. If you had a new life bar for each level, it could be considerably less than the default one, 100 HP, because then the game would be too easy. As is, however, it is painfully hard.
Graphics 8 / 10	At first the graphics are just from SMB3, and they aren't too fancy, but they are well-implemented. Then, however, computer screen stuff is used to build the levels, and all of it creatively, I might add. There are some funny jokes in the levels' graphics. All things considered, the graphics are great.
Sound 6 / 10	The music isn't worth much. It loops to soon, and you will get sick of it.
Replay 6 / 10	It would probably have great reply if what I advised had been done. In its current situation, I got sick of it.

I don't need to give many final words. If you get this, you may find it a lot of fun, but good luck beating it. And after you get sick of it, that's all.
