Yeah, bosses are really not my thing. I don't like playing boss battles nor do I like programming them. The first game didn't have bosses either, and the only boss in the second game I actually liked was Uber-Blooper, who isn't a boss at all but pretty much just an interactive cutscene.

I knew leaving out bosses would not be well-received, but it seemed like the better option over shoehorning some half-baked bosses in instead.

Thank you for the review!

Yes, the graphics in this game are based on the visuals from the new Paper Mario 3DS game, including the 2-frame walk cycle for Goombas.

And 1-3 is indeed where the unused song is first heard! Glad you enjoyed that. I thought it sounded sufficiently "Bowser-y!"

Thanks for the review!

Thank you for the review! As far as I am aware, you can't embed fonts in Game Maker 5.3a. If anyone is aware of a way to do it, I'd be happy to update the game!

Sorry but I need to say this.

Hey, no need to apologize for your opinion! The Paper Bowser World games have always been kind of a love it/hate it series anyway. Though for what it's worth...this game is the same length as the first game (sans Kammy, of course), and only marginally shorter than GROM. You're not the only one to say it's too short though. Not quite sure why.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for the honest review. I do find this review very interesting, given that the majority of the big issues you had with this game were, in fact, deliberate changes I made based on criticisms about Operation GROM. Hence the more basic, straight-forward gameplay. Sorry that it disappointed you. I guess GROM's slower, less destruction based gameplay has more fans that I thought!

Toodles! :D Can't wait to play this!

EDIT: Wow! Great game! Improved graphics and sound. Kinda short but... eh, not a bit deal. And I have a question... is there some kind of secret or unlockable or something if you get 500 coins?

Indeed there is a secret! And if you're familiar with the series, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out what it is. ;)

Nice job! I had originally intended to update Mushroom Kingdom to match those rips, but I never got around to it, so it's great to see that someone else took the time to do this font!

For the record, thanks to jakeroo123's fantastic NSMBWii lettering rip, I'm now working on a much improved second edition of this font that will fix the various inaccuracies as well as include a larger number of characters. Keep an eye out for it!

Fantastic rip! This is exactly the resource I need to fix the remaining inaccuracies in my Mushroom Kingdom font! Thanks a ton for ripping this!

Glad that's sorted out. It wasn't so much that it hadn't been in an update yet, but more that it appeared to have already been accepted. I was just afraid it got overlooked somehow! Thanks for the quick response!

Just wanted to point out something odd. About a month ago I submitted a font under the miscellaneous sections. It hasn't appeared in an update nor does it appear on the misc. page. Oddly enough, though, it does appear via the My Submissions page as though it were already accepted. Someone even commented on it already. What's going on with that?

Also, so as not to waste the first post with a complaint: Welcome Kritter! Nice to see you are going to keep main site folks up to date on the comps!

I do like Dr. Mario! It's one of my favorite games.

Easily some of the best voice work for Mario in recent years. Seems like Martinet has really refined Mario's voice in a number of his recent appearances. These could be very handy to have around. Great job!

Oh, neat! I've always enjoyed the sound effects of Super Mario Kart for some reason. Nice to have these available.

It continues to baffle me why these edutainment game created their own distorted versions of SMW Mario rather than just using the original sprites. Especially the ones that were actually on the SNES...

I recently discovered that lower case letters exist for this font, so expect an updated version soon to include those!

EDIT: Done! And before the font even appeared in an update, too!

I'm really pleased to see this finally happen. It's a feature I've wanted to see for a while. Great job!
