General Commentary and Game Overview
Wow, this is truly amazing work right here.
So many options, so many improvements, so much to like.
I was 17 years old when Super Mario 64 came out and I remember going to Toys R Us every day after to school to play it before it was officially launched (They had N64s for demo there you could play before the system and games were launched).
There was this feeling of excitement and awe.
Real 3D graphics and real 3D controls!
It was a truly special feeling.
I have tried replaying SM64 many times since those days and it's just not the same.
The DS version, VC versions, unofficial emulators, they all just lacked something.
This "port" just captures the magic for me.
I feel like a child all over again.
My boys and I just binge played all day and I am looking forward to getting off work tomorrow and playing it some more with them.
Thank you so much for your hard work.
It is truly a blessing!

Pros Everything feels so polished, like a Nintendo game does.
It just works!

Cons The only thing I would improve is the HUD.
The existing options are great but I fell they could add more options.
I personally would prefer an auto hiding HUD.
If I take damage or replenish my health, the health meter shows up and then disappears after a few seconds.
Likewise with the coins and lives, if I collect a coin, the coin counter appears then auto hides after a few seconds and if I get a one up then the lives counter appears and then auto hides after a few seconds.
I just like that look personally, but many gamers on OLED panels would probably appreciate it too since it would minimize static imagery that can cause premature pixel wear and burn-in.

Impressions
Gameplay
10 / 10
It's Super Mario 64.
Easily hands down the best 3D platformer ever made

Graphics
9 / 10
There are a few odd spots, but those are in the original as well.
There are no updated models or textures so this is more for the purest who just want to remove the N64s hardware limitations (FPS, LOD, etc).
If you want update graphics there are projects for that, this is not that.

Sound
10 / 10
100% faithful to the original as far as I could tell.

Final Words
9 / 10
The best way to currently play Super Mario 64 IMHO!
