You're certainly welcome, especially for making this insanely amazing game. The site needs more (or 'mor') fangames like this.
The main problem that also brings the game down many points for me is the insane glitcheness. You can literally just find glitching without even trying, but if it was less glitchy, I'd say this game is probably a 7/10 or 8/10.

This always happens when you rush something. :P
I could fix these bugs, but I was lazy and decided to fix them right before NCFC. But then I decided to include the 4th level...

I just played this game. HOLY CRUD, I haven't played a game like this for years. This is probably like one of the most enjoyable experiences for me on MFGG. Insanely good job, words can't describe how miraculous this is. By the way, how do you get the third green star in the first level without dying?

Thank you! :soveryhappy:

This is a nice, simple, short review.
I have no idea how anybody would think this should be accepted. I mean, this is made by Ultramario, (notice the orange username) and it actually just says 'You won! Sorry. To lazy to code ending.' I mean, when I first saw the final words of your review, I thought you were saying that because he literally didn't code an ending, but putting a message like that just doesn't work in fangames. The physics are horrible, Giga Bowser is extremely hard to beat or even hit and the layout of the levels are bad. Not really acceptable in my opinion.

Yeah, it's impossible to complete so no one would see that message if I didn't get it for no reason. I decompiled the game after the review and it only shows that message if bowser touches lava, which didn't happen when I got it. And the game has 5 levels (Or 6 I don't remember)

The argument would never have happened if GreenMike truly believed that MFGG wasn't his target audience. Very relatively speaking, the wise and logical thing to do would be to just ignore MFGG if that was the case, since this obviously-not-target-audience doesn't matter to him. My only explanation for this is that IAmGreenMike is simply and thorougly butthurt.

Of course, Zero Kirby has refuted the target audience argument very well but apparently GreenMike was only paying just enough attention to give him lip service.

I have to agree.

Dude that's not how reviews work. People review games as fangames, not flappy bird clones. That would be the case if this site was Flappy Bird Fan Clones Galaxy. Your game might be a good flappy bird clone, but it's not fair to give this game an 8. Because when you compare this game to others, this game is definitely not that great. And adding "(Flappy Bird Clone)" to the title can't prevent this game from getting bad scores.

And there is nothing wrong with rating this game low, because of disliking the original game

Do you really think this game looks and sounds horrible? Seriously, it feels like you gave graphics and sound 1 just because you didn't enjoy the game.

So, I've gotten all of the three power stars in World 1, and I don't know how to get to the second world. Does anyone how to get to that world?

Quote (Game Description)
To be able to play 4th Power Star, you need to press 'Y' after completing the first 3 stars.

The game also features custom controls, which is nice, but the key configuration feels like a last-minute implementation. It looks very unpolished compared to the rest of the game, it doesn't immediately update the game, and it lets you configure the same key to multiple actions, with no choice of going back, either.

I actually added it after NCFC so I didn't have much time to polish :D
Anyways thanks for the review.

So, how many people so far were actually able to play the game without mucking up their computers?

60% of people XD
Well, I guess I should release an update which fixes some problems. I hate you Yoyogames, why did you ruin everything...
Okay, I'm releasing a new demo tomorrow which fixes these problems. Hopefully.

I agree with Cap'n Coconuts. That makes just no sense. In lot's of fangames when Mario dies, he doesn't go to the mapscreen. That's a really small thing and an incredibly silly and stupid reason to call a game Mario Forever wannabe. "Sonic 1 is copying Super Mario Bros. because they both have a Game Over screen." would be a better example than that banana example.

Hello has definitely evolved. His engine used to be a lot more generic and sloppy. It's a much more polished engine now, and just judging from the first level, these new games of his are nowhere near as dull as the old stuff he started with. Plus, he now uses a bigger variety of unique sprites, aside from just... the same SMB3 stuff over and over again.

I mean yeah, I should probably play the whole thing before talking. Or I should go see all his fangames and decide how repetitive they are. But hell guys. Calling this a bad fangame is ridiculous. Hello may be redundant, and yes, I remember how much he used to clone his games time and time again, but... just judging this as a fangame, it's impressively smooth, beautiful, and pretty damn functional. I like it so far.

I agree, this game is definitely not too bad. I honestly think some people just prejudge this game because "it's made by Hello". But it has some problems, mainly being too generic.
Quote (KING PIRANHA PLANT on Aug 28 2015, 3:38 PM)
Are smooth, functional fangames a common thing nowadays? They didn't used to be. But I guess that would explain the criticism. Haha.

Yeah, while most of the new fangames are still 2D, they are usually polished, unique and good looking.
