MFGG 10th Anniversary Time Capsule

July 9th, 2011 - ten years after MFGG was founded in 2001, we take a look back on what fangames were like back then! This compilation contains 11 games from the early days of MFGG, made by MFGG veterans, but ultimately never completed. Some of these games were pretty big and often talked about during their time, but as the years passed them by, no one ever expected for them to truly see the light of day... until now! Included in the compilation: 1998 - Super Mario X 2001 - Luigi Quest 2001 - Super Sonic Bros. 2001 - Super Mario: The Project 2002 - Wario Eats Everything 2002 - Luigi's Game 2002 - Toad Strikes Back (Prototype Version) 2003 - Mario Spy 2003 - Pocket Mario 2005 - Waligie 3: On Mars 2006 - MarioQuest 3: The Ghost of SEGA

Wow!Some pretty awesome works considering the time they where made.I dont know why but personally I think the games back then where much more innovative than modern ones and pretty different from one another.While nowadays they may feel a bit dated for some, they contain some pretty neat ideas even after the years.Happy 10th anniversary MFGG!

Regarding Supertoad: I asked Yoshiman about that a while ago - he says he's totally disappeared. I even e-mailed him through Taloncrossing MFGG but never got a response.

I loved 2006 – MarioQuest 3: The Ghost of SEGA! But is it really necessary to put a curse in 2002 – Wario Eats Everything? um i have no idea what to do in Mario Spy. Is Luigi's Quest trying to be MarioQuest? Does 2001 – Super Sonic Bros. count as a mario game?

Don't question the curse's existence. - Mario Spy is very glitchy, so I'm not surprised. Have you downloaded the other versions? - No, Luigi's Quest is not related to Mario Quest at all. Maybe Kritter pulled some inspiration or something, but it's very different. - It did back in the day.

Hypothetically speaking, How quickly would I be banned if I say that every single one of these games are overrated and terrible? And I hated all of them? Just curious. ~~also i could diarheea a better "game"~~

Also, all of these games were either in alpha or beta stages of development when abandoned.

Why did MarioQuest 3 have to end so abruptly? It was so awesome... I dare saying it's better than some of the newer games on the site.

5 people said it's awesome right now - that's definitely the opinion of the majority of MFGG but, hey, if the majority of MFGG actually thinks these games are awesome or have some charm, more power to them; the people who created these never got that sort of praise back then that they might have if these were finished and released

To tell you the truth,I can't belive it.....it can't be of.... Mfgg.This is one of the most worstes collection of ANY other game..I'm not insulting or anything but these games really need improvement,I'm amazed that even a game made by hello would be way better.Anyway Happy 10 Years!! Edit:Also I cant even imagine that 5 people are saying this game is the best.Amazed.
