General Commentary and Game Overview
Get your scissors ready, X-Nauts! Bowser's coming back in the spotlight as the Antagonist-turned-Protagonist fights his way through hordes of X-Naut soldiers to reach his damsel in distress... to make her someone else's damsel in distress.

Pros +The unique Paper Mario feel of Paper Bowser World 1 is still in tact
+Bowser's more equipped with a larger supply of items and power-ups
+More unique worlds and interesting level designs
+Wonderful, often times hilarious writing

Cons -Hit Point restoration is rather unorthodox and inconvenient when you're about to challenge a Boss Enemy... not that it matters when you run out, since
-The game features no life system and almost no consequence for failure
-Water world sucks

Gameplay
8 / 10
Paper Bowser World 2 works the same was a Paper Bowser World 1... generally. You have the platforming basics: walking, jumping, stomping. Then you have Bowser's ability to take full advantage of his perpetual heartburn and breathe fire. The goal of each stage is to reach the flag post at the other side of the stage. Bowser's obstacles include X-Naut soldiers, who act suspiciously like Bowser's own minions. The simple X-Nauts walk around like Goombas, the red X-Nauts need 2 stomps, and the Koopa-Nauts are... well, Koopas. Then there's the Boss Enemies, but they're all pretty much the same with the exception of the final boss, so I won't go into a lot of detail about them. The game's taken a larger step in terms of platforming elements. For instance, with the introduction of the color switch, level design may now involve more backtracking or thinking to fully assess a situation. A big step Toodles has taken is the inclusion of a Hit Point system similar to that of Super Paper Mario. Unfortunately, instead of benefiting the game, it only seems to bring it down a notch. When hit, Bowser loses a hit point or 2 and is sent FLYING as the player is left without control until Bowser regains his elegant composure. Getting hit by an enemy in a tight tunnel leaves Bowser vulnerable for another hit when he recovers. Losing all your hit points doesn't really leave a negative effect on you, anyway, since you'll restart the stage with full health.

Graphics
10 / 10
Toodles Team has managed to take the lovable look of Paper Mario and translate it into his own unique spiriting style that captures the look and feel just about perfectly. The man pretty much sprited EVERYTHING in this game. There's definitely some merit in that.

Sound
7 / 10
Though the game looks nice, be prepared to hear the same "BOI-OING" noise from start to finish. Toodles has done a great job getting MP3's into this game and managed to make it a small enough size to play, but that one noise pretty much destroyed it for me. It's used for a stomp, a destroyed brick, a hurt enemy, so on and so forth.

Replay
6 / 10
You're likely to play through this bad-boy at least once, but keep a sharp eye out while playing. If you miss the secret password at the end, you're likely to miss out on a nice little treat that boosts this thing's replay value ever so much!

Final Words
8 / 10
You'd be doing yourself a huge favor if you played through this at least once!

I think your review is based on an outdated version. I uploaded a new where where Bowser doesn't bounce all over the place when hurt. It works better, and it makes Deep Deep Sea a lot less annoying. Anyway, thanks for the great review!
