Surf's Up

A minigame made straight out of Super Mario Bros. All-Star Quest's innards, but was also intended to be made for Mingame Comp #25, however, it was done too late to enter (oh well). Your objective is to collect as many coins as possible AND to try to do it in the least amount of time. You surf on a shell over a challenging course, hit jumps, and pull off moves to achieve this goal. It's fun, play it =)

Is it bad that I enjoy smashing Mario into that first pipe more than jumping over it? The crash sequence and sounds alone are enjoyable. This is an excellent minigame. I registered just to post this comment.

This is a very good game (i like the funny mario death, drown and boost sprites and sounds.) MPA sprites are the best.( i thought it was a stupid game until i finnaly played it yesterday)

There is a funny glitch when you start and don't move at all and split, the shell goes through the wall and in the water! Poor Mario.

I tried not to do some of the jumping parts that I had trouble with so most of tthe time I was on the water at the bottom. After the ship and the line of pipes you have to jump on afterward I was skimming the watter and then out of nowhere Mario starts floating continually upward along with the shell. It had me way above the course where I just kept boosting until the end. Major glitch, just lettin ya know. Or maybe I just did something that screwed it up lol

You should add more levels, and maybe even a boss battle, although the game is fun (and funny) just how it is now.

Usually when I fail a game and have to start over I'm disappointed. Here, I'm glad. Just goes to show you making Mario crash into a rock is one of the funniest things around. Making Mario boost into a block that's in midair instead of split really ought to make me feel worse, shouldn't it?

if yo u wanna do smething funny when you start split so the shell hits the pipe so mario well spin to the water alsoat the begining ensintly split mario well just go to the water and nothing else oh and also when you are in the water jump then split the shell well go without mario and when jumping hold back to make mario look like hes realy jumping with a surf baord but this might slow you down edit: also this is the funnyist when the count down begins hold left then split the shell well get stuck in the ground and mario well fall to the ground LOL and do this and press B (boost) and the shell might spin edit agian:and also when the count down begins still hold left then jump the split mario well fly to the sky and the shell wel still spin try these theyl make you laugh and do this again with out holding left somrthing funnier well happen i am not telling but try it

great game, but some parts aren't easy to tell if they are in the back ground, or if they are an obsticle. But it is a great game.
