Squishy Rex back at it again! Cool to see your sprites once more; this sheet and the other recent ones look incredible!

This isn't that bad of an idea, though I think "abandoned letters" is an odd choice for a title. Still cool though.

Quote (Luigiisthebest on Sep 27 2021, 6:35 PM) doesn't the mario and sonic Olympic games 2020 tokyo game have a smb1 shy guy sprite This sheet was posted in 2018, and that game came out in 2019. So yes, but also no, because it didn't exist back then. |

One of the sad truths about things like this is that, sometimes, people who have the same idea can end up making the same exact or at least very-close-to-exact versions of the sprites. It's bound to happen; I thought the same with someone possibly stealing AwesomeZack's SMW Raccoon Mario sprites long ago, but honestly I'm second-guessing myself thinking of it. In other words, who knows, coincidences are likely. |

Quote (Luigiisthebest on Jul 31 2021, 12:27 AM) isn't the smb1 axe the one from the original? Surprisingly, no, it's not. There's some details of it like the handle pattern and colors that are from the SMM one. |

This is a really cool idea! I think it'd be better if the overalls were changed to match a magician's outfit instead of be recolored, but you still did amazing with this! I love how the Some Charge level can't break or hit blocks but still defeat enemies, and only the Full Charge level can. Great job!

This looks pretty good. The only complaints I have are about the shading on the white sections and the four sprites in the bottom-right. There doesn't need to be a shadow around all of the outlines, but it's a small mistake a lot of pixel artists make at times, so it's not too bad. Maybe also change the shadow color to the same one for the hinge to save using another color. As for the four in the bottom-right corner, they're 1 pixel shorter horizontally than all of the other Switchboard sprites. I can tell since the hinge itself is thinner than the others. There's some other issues you could fix like inconsistent pixels and the sprites on the right side being mirrored versions of the left side's (I can tell from the hinge's shading), but otherwise this was a nice attempt. Quote (SuperSledgeBro on Jul 25 2020, 2:49 PM) Thanks! I'm already getting updated on it... But I haven't seen anything about this checkerboard tileset yet. the discord screenshot i linked should be enough evidence, as it's all i had to go off of anyway. you can keep searching if you'd like though |

Sent an update that adds a shadow-less faint sprite for both (under the chin), and fixes the belly on the alternate fainted sprite so it lines up properly. As well, a very minor edit to the crown on the fainted sprites so it's shaded properly.

Quote (LycanSeijin on Apr 28 2020, 11:13 AM) The small sprites are exactly the way they were in the game. The clipping is all on Nintendo. As for the map sprites, the originals were made by SuperSledgeBro. I just recolored them to be 8-bit. That doesn't make it okay to leave be, though. The flaws are still there, possibly needing to be fixed. |

A couple of gripes I have with this: - Small Toad's pull sprite looks like the mushroom is clipping into the face. - The map sprites use a recolored Super Mushroom for the head, and it looks too large in comparison to the body. - The raccoon ears are missing the pale inner part. Minus other slight graphical errors, you did an awesome job with this! |

These graphics are fantastic! I think my favorite is the Yoshi Cookie. Are we allowed to use these in any custom projects, as long as we give credit and/or have your permission to? |

Thinking about it, you bring up a good point. A SMBX player skin for Mario does have the spin / ball jump for Sonic, last I remember, so I'll get to working on that after the next update.

Quote (Yoshin on Mar 8 2020, 4:45 PM) They're good sprites but
why isn't his jump him going into a ball? "Sonic in Super Mario Land 1 & 2" makes me think of Sonic doing his normal moves in the style of those games, not him unnaturally doing Mario's poses. In the description it said "as well as add their game-respective poses and moves" for adding more characters. I should've made it clear that this included Sonic, in which I'll go do that right now. Thank you for reminding me to clarify. Also, my perspective of this was looking at it like a ROM hack rather than what you mentioned, meaning Sonic would be a player skin of Mario. |

The legs look too thin and give off an appearance similar to Weird Mario, but otherwise this looks pretty good.
