I can see this working with a Big Goomba sprite, but not much with a normal Goomba sprite. The sprite itself in its idle pose is already at 31 pixels tall, not to mention the outline is 2 pixels thick. This goes for the hat and mustache that are separate sprites, as when they're on the Goomba, the outline is only one pixel thick, or doesn't have one at all. Another problem I see is the eyes on the Goomba. The walking sprites are a bit odd, as the eyes look like they're moving places instead of actually rotating like the body. The stomped sprite's fangs seem to be squishing down, as they look like they're shrinking. Last but not least, the font you used is a bit too small, as some people might not be able to see it when it's so blurry and tiny like that. All in all, this sheet is really good, but it will need some updates as far as I know. This is just my opinion, though.

I think that the shading should be symmetrical, along with the rest of the sprite. Maybe just flip the sprite on half of it, like so: http://imgur.com/a/Atgie

I find it sad that we don't see many Donkey Kong sprites, backgrounds, etc. on this site, despite this being a Mario-styled site. I mean, we have a DK section for a reason, but we rarely see many sprites these days. Anyone agree?

Seeing how you did blue for Mario and green for Luigi, wouldn't it be better if either Mario had red, or Luigi had purple? Just to match either their shirt or overall colors together? ~~or you could just put them in as alternate pallets~~

I know I'm an MLP fan and all, but why is Spike in the sheet? I mean, I know that the rules allow people to have other characters in the sheets as long as there's not too many, but why did you choose Spike?

Yeah, I wanted to make it easy and base my FC's name off of my nickname on Roblox, so there's that. :P
