General Commentary and Game Overview
You probably have heard, played, or 100% beaten the original Toad Strikes Back. Come on, who hasn't? This is an acclaimed sequel to that very game, and if you haven't seen the demo, it's just like that authentic 2002 experience (lol Vinescause quote), but remastered and better than ever for modern-day fangaming.

Pros + brand new levels
+ Awesome piano-styled remixes
+ Custom graphics
+ Exciting boss fights
+ Very few/minor glitches or bugs

Cons - I have nothing bad to say about this game :)

Impressions
Gameplay
10 / 10
I loved getting a nostalgia feels as I romped through levels with Fire Flowers, Hammers, and even Yoshi. And I guess for old times sake, there's a "jump mode" that can be toggled so you can jump just like you did in the original TSB. The nostalgia bug hit me hard when I played this, and even opened up Toad Strikes Back for the first time in 3 months.

And the levels--my god, the levels--the levels were very well designed, and extremely polished. And that isn't exciting enough, almost every level introduces a new (sometimes exclusive) gameplay mechanic, such as Flip Flop Rock (so dizzy...)

But the boss fights were the most notable thing about this game, in my opinion. The way that they were so intricately designed, I though of each one as a puzzle, thinking "What do I need to do to bring down this guy?", then after a few deaths, I have kind of an "aha" moment. My favorite was the third boss, and sometimes I just go back and try to defeat it, just because I liked the fight.

Graphics
10 / 10
Are those graphics completely custom? Because they look astounding. The custom-style allows the blending of concepts from other games, like SMB2 and SMW, and not have it look all clash-y. I know that you're an illustrator in real life, Thunder Dragon, so you've probably had a talented hand at drawing these.

Sound
10 / 10
Wow..just beautiful piano remixes. They sounded amazing, especially the boss music and Port O'Bello. Quite a few masterpieces waiting to be heard as you progress through the game, so play 'em and check them out!

Replay
10 / 10
Once you've beaten the final boss (which was QUITE difficult), you can go back to the levels you've already beaten and see if you can grab the one Mushroom Medal hidden without each stage. And once you've done that, you can beat levels in the Museum of Secrets. But wait! Still done all that? Then try it all in hard mode. There is just so much to do once you've beat the game, and I recommend you do it all!

Final Words
10 / 10
This may be a "if-a-2002-fangame-was-made-today" sort of thing, but this is a pure fangaming masterpiece.

What about the fact that your health gets saved when you exit a level instead of resetting?
