General Commentary and Game Overview
Anyone remember that old Yoshi puzzle game on the NES? The one that was never remade into a greater quality than 8 bit? Well, it has finally been done. Sort of.

Pros Remake of a fun but often forgoten puzzle game, nice handmade graphics.

Cons No options! >_< And it is made in KNP (compatibility issues anyone?)

Impressions
Gameplay
9 / 10
Yoshi was always one of my favorite puzzle games, and I am glad to see that it was remade for the PC. Basicly, there are enemy cubes that you can match up to earn points, and Yoshi egg halves that you can attach for even more points, especially if there are enemies between them. The gameplay is recreated so acurately, what more is there to ask for? An options screen. The original Yoshi had an options screen where you could adjust the gameplay difficulty, the music, etc. But where in Dog's name is it? If Toni could have recreated the gameplay so perfectly, why not an options screen? Without that, we are stuck with an easy difficulty which will soon get old. But no matter what, I still love that classic puzzle gameplay.

Graphics
9 / 10
Wow. All handmade, nicely. Remember, this is a game by Toni, after all!

Sound
7 / 10
Because of the said absence of an options screen, there is no selectable music like in the original. But it isn't such a bad song. Sound effects are your generic everyday sound effects.

Replay
7 / 10
It really depends on how much you enjoy this particular game. Unfortunately without an options screen there is no adjustable difficulty, cutting the replay a bit shorter.

Final Words
8 / 10
The classic 8-bit puzzle was always one of my favorites. And with improved graphics and flawless gameplay, it would be better, right? Wrong. But, if it only had a damn options screen, I'd think otherwise. Still, don't pass this one up.
