You did, saying things like 'look, someone's trying to be funny' kinda means he's not funny at all and has a high opinion of himself. But no, that's not insulting at all.

No, 'someone's trying to be funny' means that someone is attempting to be funny, which he was. An attempt is just that, it doesn't automatically mean "successful" or "failure". Also, could you please tell me where I implied he had a high opinion of himself?

A tad harsh might have been me outright insulting him, which I wasn't

Oh look, someone trying to be funny by quoting completely unrelated and unfunny memes.

I wish we had better comments, I tell you what.

This is meant as a Mario Fangames site, not a Nintendo Fangames site. They did it on purpose.

I think he knew that already. What he was suggesting was that it be converted to a general Nintendo oriented fangaming site. Since that particular niche has been vacant for quite some time now (Fangamez.net died some time ago and I don't recall any other sites that tailored to it), I think it's a great idea. Sure, it would take a while, but it would ultimately help the site gain more activity, which is the goal at the end of the day. Well, that and more worthy content for the main-site, but they go hand in hand really so it's a moot point.

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone.
All I wanted to say was that the sprite sheet I uploaded 08/05/12 was accepted but my songs from 03/12 aren't yet.

Again, there are tons upon tons of submissions in the queue; they probably overlooked it at some point a month or so ago and... well... more and more submissions being added might have prevented them from taking a look at it.

Although going by what Zero Kirby said above me, it seems he will intentionally ignore it for another week because you complained.

Can you take care of sounds and music too?
I got music tracks in the queue for 5 months...

Surprisingly, the quality control staffers have lives outside of doing that. There are literally tons and tons of submissions in the queue, and you're no more important than anyone else, so you can probably do the math

Actually, the sound card does vary the way .MID files are audibly outputted, depending on what you get. Much older sound cards do sound variably different from newer ones, and some SoundBlaster cards and other more high-end cards also attach the ability to use soundfonts for .MIDs, creating a higher-quality sound.

I suppose older sound cards sounding different was a given; age is always a factor for these things, after all. Regardless, the way he worded it made me think he meant that your average sound card actually alters how the MIDI is played in-software, but I digress; well said, anyways, and to be honest, I didn't know some sound cards could do that. That would vastly improve the quality, for sure

Oops, now I started a conversation about sound cards and MIDIs D:

If you need MIDI's goto http://www.vgmusic.com/

But I'd really not reccomend using MIDI's since they change depending on the soundcard of the PC or Laptop your using. And alot of MIDI's are kinda crappy.

I think you have no idea what MIDIs actually are then. They are just strings of data that are arranged to play different instruments and control the music and such; in short, it's a music controller, not the actual music. Think of it as digital sheet music. It doesn't vary on soundcard, but on what you're playing the MIDI through.

So that's why you search elsewhere with Google, as the post you quoted said.

I'm pretty sure he means that's the only result that he could find with Google :/

Saying that the controls are bad and then not offering any kind of constructive feedback on how to make them better is not criticism.

Oh dear, I accidentally the wrong point in my review

What I meant was that Mario moves too slippery and fast, so it'd be nice if you didn't use the default platform engine and make everyone's life miserable.

Also, I like how you said you'd "disregard anything I say", even though only one of my points wasn't constructive criticism, which I had fixed right up there. If you're so worried about what people say about this game, then why don't you try and improve the game?

...how is this a "harsh" score? Exaggerating a bit much? :/

Why does everyone complain about the control scheme? There is no other way to do it.

And the fail-safe button was mainly because I put the game together in about 2 days and didn't have time to fix a bug that had absolutely no rhyme or reason to it. It's better to have that button than to get stuck, isn't it?

Just because there might be "no other way to do it" (although that's doubtful, I'm not entirely sure) doesn't mean it isn't inconvenient at all. That's a pretty weak excuse anyway

I'll give you the small time frame point, sure; but you could really do a favor to everyone if you took the time to polish this game up

I'll be honest: I just booted up the game and took a snapshot. The font is included in another sprite rip somewhere, so I didn't bother including it. As for the other 2, that would require me beating it (assuming I just snapshot the emulator... which is what I did XD) to get those sprites.

Can you please be a bit more specific than that?

The Megaman X font (which somehow got onto the site despite having nothing to do with Mario) and the M&L BIS styled Wario sprites are both stolen and claimed to be made by the wrong person (MMX font: more than likely intentional stealing; Wario Sprites: probably a mistake on the submitter's part).

Also, just saying, new people join continuously, so it's just going to be a never ending steam of

In that case, the logical thing would be to place it in the rules, along with any possible consequences. If they don't read the rules, that's their own fault. I'm not a staffer (but hey I'm open to be one guys =P), but being constantly yelled at by someone because their genius submission didn't get accepted fast enough wouldn't please me in the slightest.

That said, that may have come off as a bit rude, so sorry to anyone who took that the wrong way.
