A personal update from Mors...

Hey chat. Just wanted to make the announcement that, after a lot of thought, I've decided to step down as an MFGG admin.

*audience gasping*

Look, this isn't some sudden decision I made this morning, it's something I've been mulling over for more than a year by now. I mean, Flashback hasn't seen an update in years, Mario 64 Plus is getting the bare minimum of life support, and I've been getting less and less active here as time passes. It shouldn't come as a surprise.

The truth is, I've been focusing a lot more on pursuing game dev more professionally. I've been doing a lot of work with the guys who own GameMaker for the past two years, and also released an indie game on the Switch by myself like a month ago. These were both, as you can imagine, incredibly time consuming, and latter especially is what I want to focus more on moving forward.

To be clear, none of that stuff would've happened without MFGG. This community gave me the foundation, the inspiration, and the confidence to pursue game dev professionally, and for that, I'll forever be thankful.

But at the same time, I've kinda grown out of this scene. While MFGG will always hold a special place in my heart, it's no longer the center of my creative world. It's hard to be an admin when you're not fully in it anymore, and MFGG deserves a leadership that's engaged and excited, not someone who gets to do stuff when they are pinged once a month.

And no, my involvement with Nintendo isn't the reason. My game is already out on the Switch, and if they had a problem, they would've already said so. This was something I've been considering since long before, and people here have already been saying I'd be better off passing the torch if I'm not going to be as involved with the community. Thinking about it now...I guess you guys were right.

That said, I'm not disappearing entirely! I'll still be around in a smaller capacity, as a site developer, focusing more on the technical stuff. Still, if you want to follow me, my website has links to all my current social media, though I'm most active on Bluesky these days. You can find them on my profile.

Thanks to everyone who made my time as staff memorable. With that, I'm off to the next chapter. See ya guys around.

Super Mario Nation is here! If you like platformers with lots of levels and secrets, this one might just hit the spot.

We're slowly catching up on the games queue - hang in there!

Also, I realized that the Classic MFGG skin was using the wrong banner image, so I fixed that! This skin looks quite similar to how MFGG's mainsite looked in the mid-aughts - except we obviously didn't have a cool responsive design back then.

The Hello Fangaming 20th Anniversary Time Capsule is now on the mainsite! Hello is as prolific as anyone there's ever been on MFGG, and most of his library is available in this archive! Many of his older games have gotten quality of life fixes that should make them more enjoyable to play and easier to use on modern devices.

In other news, I'm still working on making improvements to the MFGG mainsite and forums! Last month, I finally got password resets for mainsite accounts working again. So if you've forgotten your password but you still have access to the e-mail account you used when you first registered your account, you should be able to change your password and log in again.

I also made a few tweaks to form fields, many of which were uncomfortably small. Now, when you write a review, you should have a lot more space to see what you've written, and you won't have to scroll as much. MFGG could use some more reviews, especially for recent games, so get typing!

Finally, I adjusted field sizes in the Admin Control Panel, and I fixed a bug where large screenshots could break the table there. That part might not be too exciting, but I want QC staff to have a better experience so we can get better at processing games more quickly.

Hello Everyone,
I'm Matrix, and I'm the second elected member to be part of the MFGG staff, and I've been on this site for a year. As Myuu said, we can speed up the whole queue and the general approval/refusal of submissions.

So anyways, here's a list of fresh updates and submissions:
