Thanks! The greenery of the trees uses the same type of shading as the kind used in the original game.

That's true - I plan on doing a mega tileset at some point that will have everything organized much better.

Exactly! I plan on doing every world, and will look into doing sets based on Bowser's Fury afterwards.

But seriously, nice job Shikaternia! It's a great tileset, and it really leaves me struggling to choose between this one and bonglorio's one overall.

I think it depends on what style you want to go for. His is far more detailed and better for for an all star style. Mine is for the simpler style like in Super Mario World.

Thanks! 😁 You can get a pretty good idea by seeing the levels in each world in Super Mario 3D World - I'm doing ones based on world 3 next, which included a snow set, the ghost house, and a train!

I figured I'd do one since I was doing different mario kart tracks. I agree about the cheese triangles - if I was doing smb3 style I would do more detail and no black line in the center, but with these mw style tiles I was going for the big bush from smw, which has a black line and a flat appearance.

I remember counting the number of colors I used on the hills and thought I had used 7, so you're not alone in thinking that xD

The reason it's 6 is because the darkest part of the lighter hills and the lightest color of the darker hills are the same color.

Lol I know xD I was working on a fourth part to the custom tile set I created years ago (based on Mario 3D World), but I would take incredibly long breaks whenever I lost interest.

A couple weeks ago I stumbled upon a file of backgrounds that I was going to work on and I've been working on these now.

These tiles are awesome. Indeed, of all the custom tilesets on the site, these ones are probably the best overall, especially given how easy it is to swap them in for the original Super Mario Bros 3, Super Mario World or New Super Mario Bros tiles.

One question though; could I convert these to Super Mario World ExGFX and submit them to SMW Central? I'd credit you as the author and everything. Just cause I'm sure the people there would find these tiles really useful for their ROM hacks and such.

But they forgot to change the palette information for his extended arm sprite, so it looks blue. I suggest you either edit it to look green (the intended color) or edit Chuck to be blue (the original color). The mix looks wrong and bad.

I fixed the error (he is green now).

These look really beautiful.

I did notice that certain details (such as the trees) are not present. Do you plan on expanding the tile set later on?
