General Commentary and Game Overview
Well, we've waited 4 years for this to be completed, and let me tell you, this is about as close to a perfect platformer as you can get. Iron out a few things, and this will be perfect.

Pros +Fantastic engine
+each level is different from the last one
+great visuals
+lasts a while
+creative boss fights

Cons -the camera is a little too slow when jumping
-extremely old midis make my ears bleed
-uses that horrible midi at the end of the level that I have heard over 100 times
-slightly boring over time

Impressions
Gameplay
8 / 10
This game was created by Thunder Dragon, the creator of this very site, as well as not-so-impressive games such as MarioQuest, Bowser Blast, and *shudder* Mario in Space, all which were failures. But this game, however is the opposite. You play as (a) Toad who steps up to Kamek's offspring who plans on reviving Koopa from his grave. Mario has left for other places since then. Anyways, you play as (a) Toad through over 50 unique levels, all of which are completely unique. Now if there are hidden collectibles or something that reside in the game, I'm not aware of them. Basically your average Mario platformer without the Mario, you could say. You have a Super Mario 64-ish hub, which is nice, and all the levels have different levels of difficulty which adds to the fun. However, since it is basically get from point A to point B, it gets old after a while. This game is almost perfect, and that is that needs to be said.

Graphics
10 / 10
The graphics in this game can't be described by any word but perfect. Each level has a distinct feel to it. Toad is fluently animated as well as the enemies. Bosses look very nice and original. This gets a 10/10.

Sound
6 / 10
The worst part of the game. The music may have felt fresh back in TSB's demo days, but now, in 2007, it feels old. The midis are outdated, and sound slightly screechy. Toad is a little too chatty and screams whenever he takes a hit (as well as when he jumps). But there are very few levels midis I could tap my feet to, not many are catchy enough to capture the feel of each level.
Eh, 6.

Replay
8 / 10
You'll come back to finish the game, but I wouldn't play it over. Once you've beat it once and found the secret areas/levels, that's about it in my opinion. You've seen it all.

Final Words
8 / 10
This is a great game, but can be seen as slightly shallow by today's standards.

slightly shallow by today's standards? world lobby areas and non-repeating tilesets are the opposite of shallow!

No. I made this review based on my opinions. Some midis were in the demo. 4 YEARS AGO.

So? MIDIs can still be pretty cool! I've heard many a good MIDI in my life and am even using all-MIDI music to make my upcoming game.

I'm not saying midis are bad, I'm saying he used music from years ago. But I guess it gives it a retro "feel" to it.

Mushroom Coins, one in each level.

I actually really agree with Hyper Kirby Fan. The midis are definetely the most annoying thing in the game.

This is the review that's given the lowest score. We expect complaints.
