Apparently this game has been in the works for a long time, seeing the last demo was from 2007. What I saw looks nice, but it lags on my computer, making the controls really unresponsive. The game doesn't look that complicated, so you might want to see if there's anything you can do to make it run faster.

You're welcome! I'm pretty sure GM 6 has this feature, and I know you can in GM 7 or GM 8.

It's not a horrible game, but it's also not great - there are a bunch of ways it could've been better. That said, I'd also like to remind you that some of your more recent games have been getting quite a bit better, like your last MGC entry.

While holding Ctrl, right-click the objects on the room editor and choose "Creation Code."

Again, however, I know a lot more about using GM than I did a year or two ago, and I could make a vastly superior version of this tutorial if I had the time and inclination.

Regarding Supertoad: I asked Yoshiman about that a while ago - he says he's totally disappeared. I even e-mailed him through Taloncrossing MFGG but never got a response.

Oh no. This is not a good game. Besides being a rather dull concept (and one that was done a whole lot better in a recent MGC entry), you often lose even if you stomp the Goomba flat on the middle of his head!

It's not a horrible game, but it feels really, really old - it plays like GM games from the early part of the last decade. Some of the levels lag badly, too.

I tried it, and it's a good concept, but it's basically unplayable on my computer because of the really awkward controls - I have a hard time using W-A-S-D and the mouse at the same time, so I gave up on it after one play.

Thanks for the review, and I'm pleased you liked it so much! However, there is at least one MFGG game that uses some Super Mario RPG graphics (yes, it's PMW), but this is the first one I know of to use them in a way that's cohesive and free of clashing.

Changing the score up one notch just to make it more consistent with later reviews (although it's still not a great game).
