General Commentary and Game Overview
From the creative collaboration of Someguy & Kaepora comes the most original and hilarious mini-game to ever grace MFGG. Weirdness as only Someguy & Kaepora can pull off.

Pros + Very funny
+ A number of creative surprises
+ Great presentation

Cons - Ends too soon, but even this is understandable considering that it's a mini-game competition entry.

Impressions
Gameplay
8 / 10
This game doesn't go out of it's way to present anything new as far as game mechanics are concerned, but even this is turned into a strength as the game progresses. What starts out as a somewhat typical platformer quickly turns into a hilariously twisted journey into the heart of madness. The wall-jump is well programmed and the ability to "hide" in pipes is a cool idea.

Graphics
8 / 10
Though this game only contains a small library of graphics due to it's length, much like the rest of the game they aid greatly in the presentation of the title. The first level contains crisp, clean graphics from New Super Mario Bros that ease the player into the Mario mold, an illusion which is quickly shattered as the player enters the second level. Soon the graphics become a hodge-podge of Super Mario and Metroid titles. Topped off with a dash of crudely drawn MSPaint pictures. Again, the graphics do a lot to emphasize the great presentation of the title. The psychedelic portion of the second level also showcases some spiffy special effects magic ala Killer 7 or Eternal Darkness.

Sound
8 / 10
Instead of the usual MIDI-based tunes we're treated to some high-quality rips of actual music used in the games. The second level also contains an appropriately eerie piece that seems familiar, but I can't quite place my finger on. The ending theme is a cover of the classic song, "99 Red Balloons" or "99 Luftballons" as it's known in it's native country.

Replay
8 / 10
While not something I see myself playing in the near future due to it's surprise-based nature and short length, in due time I'd love to revisit it. This is also an excellent mini-game to "shock" some friends with. I have no intention of ever erasing this from my hard drive.

Final Words
10 / 10
In short, this game succeeds largely due to it's excellent presentation and great humor. If this is the kind of stuff we can expect from Someguy & Kaepora, I can't wait to play the full release of Thingio and Super Mario Land 4. Highly original and highly recommended. MFGG could use some more games like this.

Your well-thought out criticisms were a key factor in my decision to suddenly hate this game. I thank you all.

How about you critizize this game on a review with a low score so you can say it sucks all you want.

You gave it an 8,8,8,8, and then a 10?
Shouldn't it be 8?
