Simple, but very effective! The comments are pretty nice to have! I like that Shy Guy character and MIDI.

Interesting way of making it, I'll say. I find it harder than it is in SMB2. I like the hidden level!

I played this a long time ago. I recommended it if you're looking for a really perplexing game, otherwise you might want to look elsewhere. Really, you have to think very, very, very hard before you even do anything! It took me a long time to figure out how everything works (the manual only provides the controls) and even longer to solve the first level. I haven't gotten a good idea on what to do in the second level. I think it's a neat concept and it's not a bad game, but it would've been better if it at least started out easier and introduced features and gimmicks one by one rather than almost all at once. (Or have the manual explain all the features.) The music is very nice, though -- pretty relaxing. Overall, it's a good effort for a 2003 Game Maker game. A good puzzle game if you don't mind brain-busting challenge.

Oh wow, this person predicted Super Mario Odyssey! That's pretty interesting.

Is this the only 16-bit Clawgrip rip on MFGG? Poor crab doesn't seem to get much attention...

(I'm sure TSR has a sprite sheet with 16-bit Clawgrip, but I'd love to see MFGG to do more rips again, wouldn't you?)

Please check the format for older submissions. They are used for Clickteam products.

To add on to this, you can also use this handy dandy tool if you don't want to use a Clickteam product: https://mfgg.net/index.php?act...=6&id=27419

I can't open the file, it requires browser2.mfx!

You can get browser2.gox from here: http://creermesjeux.free.fr/TGF%20extensions.htm

I put it into the same folder as The Games Factory, and then I was able to open the lib.

Some people might find these sprites gaudy nowadays, but I kinda like them. They look kinda cool. It's interesting that these kind of sprites were very common back in MFGG's old days.

Haha, that example is very funny! Too bad Nintendo didn't let us do that!

This is so cool! Now we can make a Yoshi's Island/Story fangame in SMW style! The Galaxy and Odyssey stuff is a nice touch!

Great rip! It's awesome that you were able to get all of the palettes in! I noticed that the sprite for the king's wand -- when pointing straight up or down -- looks off. Is that how it really looks in the game?

Very neat! I like how you made it look close to Kirby 64 -- it'd definitely work in something like a GBA port of the game or for those who want to make a Kirby 64-style game without having to use 3D models.

Wow, this is really cool! Makes me think of those old science fiction movies, like Forbidden Planet and Fantastic Voyage.

Always nice to see another MIDI file! I can see this one working in either a pause menu or a small bonus room!

I played through the whole thing last night. For a fangame made in 1998, I'm impressed with what Biebersoft was able to put into this game. While the battle system isn't the one from the Final Fantasy games, it's actually very creative! It's like a mix between the JRPG and WRPG mechanics. I like that Biebersoft included spells! I like how at one point the game is non-linear, where you can choose to go to wherever you want. It was a bit fun at first, but unfortunately, it got dull very quickly. Exploration is very minimal and puzzles are non-existent, making the overworld travel mostly boring. Enemies, bosses included, are mostly samey. The playing field is too small, especially when fighting large enemies. At one point it felt like the boss fights were too long and too difficult, but once you learn the Sword, Cure 2, and Stone spells they become way too easy. The final two bosses were the most memorable, but they were also the easiest bosses, making for an unsatisfying finale. I kind of enjoyed it, though -- the classic Biebersoft charm is what kept me playing all the way to the end. If that's what you are into, then this game is absolutely worth playing at least once!

For those who hit the roadblock of being unable to control your character, I found out that you can solve the problem by changing the controls from "Joystick" to "Keyboard" for all players, not just player one. I think it might actually be just a certain player other than number one, but I haven't bothered to figure that out yet.
