General Commentary and Game Overview
Normally a game with a comment like "it is the best Super Mario Bros remake you will ever play" would be frowned off as big-headed, but in this case it is true. This is the best unofficial Mario game I've ever played. Although there are some annoying glitches and some areas that are just plain ugly, this is an awesome game. Watch out when loading though, you must unzip the file and run the Controls Setup and set your controls, then save, to create a file required for the game to run. This game shows you what exactly can be done when not confined to TGF, MMF or GM!

Pros The engine in this game is great and very accurate. There is a large selection of levels and enemies. A basic level editor is available (however this does not edit enemy arrangements) Levels are, for the most part, well designed and enjoyable.

Cons Some of the level designs are just plain "What's this?" moments, such as forcing you to jump onto several spinies in one level (and you have to do it 2 times, one after the other) The world map has some very ugly graphics and the level opening screen does not do the game justice.

Impressions
Gameplay
10 / 10
Very good, the engine is well coded and enemies behave nicely and properly. There are three powerups: Fire Mario, Hammer Mario and Bunny Mario. All of these work great. There are even working bosses which you must fight. I will give this a 10/10.

Graphics
8 / 10
Graphics are a wide selection of rips from various Mario games, as well as some custom, especially the world map. World map backgrounds are of very bad quality. On the up side though, effects are well done. Exiting a level using the Backspace key results in Mario sliding smoothly into the sky. Going through a pipe is very smooth, doors open as Mario goes through them and there are many different tilesets used. I think I will give this an 8/10.

Sound
9 / 10
I do not have sound capabilities, but browsing the folders there seems to be a wide selection of sounds and music, I will give this a 9/10.

Replay
9 / 10
You'll find yourself replaying the levels over and over again. Different paths, bonus rooms, skippable levels and more make sure you're never bored each time you play.

Final Words
10 / 10
Many other fangames should take a few leaves out of JeremyBurns' book. Good engine, good graphics and great levels combine to leave you with an awesome experience.
