Super Mario: Magnum Opus
By: grizzledwarveteran23
Mario ain't screwing around. He's got a gun this time. Each bullet is gonna send him flying sky high.

Introducing an all new Mario adventure, combining elements of classic Mario platforming, action-packed Run N' Gun gameplay, and a gripping cinematic storyline about family and betrayal.

Journey through flowering fields, ancient desert ruins, nuclear wastelands, and much more. Join the Mario Bros. on their mysterious search to find their third brother, all while fighting against the mischevious business man known as JB.

CONTROLS (included in the tutorial):
Walk - A/D or Arrow Keys
Sprint - Hold Shift
Jump - Spacebar
Shoot - O or Left Click
Aim and Shoot - WASD + O
Shoot Downward - P (useful to do recoil jumps quickly without doing aim + shoot)
Pause - Escape

The game saves progress after the completion of every level. An average playthrough takes a little less than an hour, but it may depend on your skill level.

It's been almost 2 years of (on and off) development for me, so I'm excited to finally be releasing the game. Every download, comment, and review will be appreciated.

This game was independently developed, however there is some art/music credits included in the download folder.
Completion: Full Game Genre: Action
Franchise: Mario

This is so cool! I played the two demos back-to-back a while ago and when I saw this I was surprised!

The story is weirdly deep too, didn't know a Mario fan game can have me at the edge of my seat with this story.

I can see this having a sequel someday to be honest.

You're still yet to give credit for the mugshot.

And here I was triple-checking thinking I got all my credits down...thanks for reminding me!

YES guys, credits to Bandit for the Mario HUD-view on the healthbar. In fact, go check out all of his great sprite works!
