Note: This Super Mario Bros. Wonder is like a Super Mario Bros. 1/Lost Levels with a Wonder skin, which takes place after the events of Super Mario Bros. 2/Lost Levels in an alternate timeline, without Super Mario Bros. 3 as the last main Mario adventure game for the NES in 1988. It does not follow the same timeline as "Super Mario Bros. Wonderland 87". I worked on this fan game for 9 months (still since 2023).

STORY:
During an alternate timeline in 1988, Bowser learns about the Flower Kingdom and its Wonder Power. With this, he kidnaps all the Poplins and Prince Florian. All the natural flowers in the kingdom were taken by Bowser and transformed into wonder mushrooms.

In the form of mushrooms, it become even more powerful the more consume. Now Bowser can create towers more easily, new powered allies, etc...

With the strength of these mushrooms, he gives powers to some of his old koopa guards who are under the wonder power. Intending to finally be a king of a new kingdom, he draws the prince's powers as an energy machine.

Seeing that Florian is the prince of the kingdom, Bowser understands that the prince can be his greatest source of energy and intends to turn him into a GIANT wonder mushroom, which can make Bowser even stronger and more agile with the FULL Wonder Power.

Princess Peach receives a letter asking for help from the prince and tells the Mario Brothers about what happened.
Will Mario and Luigi be able to return all of Prince Florian's powers that are in these mushrooms?

ByeBye Overall, this fangame is a wild ride for any fan of the classics. It's fun, nostalgic, and has some clever twists. But it’s not without its quirks — sometimes it feels a little too stiff and can get frustrating with the lack of checkpoints and the brutal airship levels. That "Wonder" factor? Doesn’t quite hit the mark, but it’s still a good time. If you're into that old-school Mario grind, it's definitely worth a play, just be prepared for a few moments that’ll make you want to throw your controller. 8 / 10

I like how it feels like playing a ROM hack, the attention to detail is really nice!
But the difficulty is too high for me, I could only play the first 4 worlds.

It's like passing after "Lost Levels". But the more you try, the more chances you have of succeeding. It's a good alternative for both those who like "Lost Levels" and those who wanted a more difficult "Super Mario Bros. Wonder". Oh, there's also a secret way to access the secret world through the title screen.
