General Commentary and Game Overview

This game is known for being the crown jewel of MFGG... but does it really deserve all the praise? Find out with TURBOMAN who has been waiting quite some time to say what he thinks about the origins of MARIO FAN GAMES GALLERY.

Pros	Solid engine, it manages to be fast and to the point yet still keeps the characteristic flaotness of Mario games. The dates and time system is very CREATIVE, simply put. Actualy took me a good time to beat back when I played it.
Cons	Mixed graphics with no honest style direction Date and time system is quite buggy and fails sometimes Uninspired story that doesn't feel like a true Mario tale

Impressions

Gameplay 8 / 10	I'm giving REALLY high props not just for the time system that I already praised but also the boss battles, first fangame I've ever played where it felt like the boss was actualy PLANNED instead of a big target with a big sprite randomly chosen by the creator.
Graphics 3 / 10	Terrible terrible and pitiful, a game so mastefully coded ends up looking like the worst of the cookie cutter submissions this site gets simply because somebody failed to understand the word STYLE, inconsistency hurts alot games like this specially when you don't mix just sprites from different Mario games but also different series! Was that a Castlevania monster as the beginning??
Sound 6 / 10	Okay, I get it, the game is supposed to be GLOOMY and HALLOWEENY but couldn't you get songs with different feels? There was no audiable soul in this game, I'm only giving it six because the actualy sound quality was pretty clean.
Replay 2 / 10	There is no reason to replay this game unless you consider looking for the secret levels replay, personally I consider it part of the main game... what with actualy adding to the story and all so no praise from me!

Final Words

Certainly a enjoyable game, but all the amateur-ish faults really only bring you to the conclusion that it's enjoyable because theres the OH BUT IT'S JUST FAN MADE bias.
