General Commentary and Game Overview

There hasn't been a Mario Bros. clone in a while and this is definitely one of the best.

Here's why:

Pros	- Excellent additional elements - Glitchless - Great Audio Visually
Cons	- A bit slippery movement

Impressions

Gameplay 9 / 10	Ever played the old arcade game Mario Bros? The game in which you must clean the room from bad guys by bumping the floor beneath them to flip them around and kick them out. Mario Bros. bring intresting new elements to this game in form of a health bar, goombas (that you can just stomp), bosses and koopas (you can stomp them and kick their shell to defeat enemies). All features work well and glitchlessly and bring nice amount of variety to the gameplay. The koopa shell makes the level really easy as you hardly need to do anything as all enemies eventually walk right to the shell. The physics also feel a bit slipery at times. The boss was also quite difficult as a first boss.
Graphics 9 / 10	The graphics are great. The game greatly presents some new custom sprites that are an enjoyment to look at. Backgrounds aren't quite as great, but they do match with other graphics.
Sound 8 / 10	Some decent quality MP3s were used here and work surprisingly well. Sounds are from the arcade game and are something you don't hear in every few Mario clones.
Replay 6 / 10	Demos usually won't shine in this category and Mario Bros. VS is no exception. There's a punch of levels and a boss, but some might play again to beat their hi score.

Final Words

Mario Bros. VS succeed on bringing the classic gameplay to new heights. Definitely worth a try.

The NES Mario Bros has pretty slippery physics aswell.

Good review, but you should rate your replay to the genre and completion.Not just a general score.As you can't compare the replay to a full game

Seems interesting to look at. I think I can play this game with someone in which I know of.
