General Commentary and Game Overview
This is a game that looks like it was intended to be good, but failed. It is a good effort, but it didn't turn out so well.

Pros +There are lots of powerups
+Good running ability

Cons -You can walk in holes
-The voices annoy the heck out of me
-Sometimes mario freezes when pulling up a veggie
-Pokeys seperate all the time
-Nothing happens at the end of a level

Impressions
Gameplay
6 / 10
Glitchy, but nice running engine, however, the veggie system is annoying. It was alright for a game based on SMA4 though. Also, the bunny thing was really strange, yeas I know it is based on SML, but it felt very strange, and instead of that, he sould have just made a cape, because you get that, and you can fly. Also, jumping pirahnas don't hide when you go on top of them or go next to them.

Graphics
7 / 10
He used SMA4 graphics, which are bad. The way Luigi kicks his legs and sticks his hands up at the same time looks really dumb, but there are no glitches with the graphics, unlike some games, so it was alright for that section.

Sound
2 / 10
The Mario brothers just don't shut up! Their voices are so annoying, and on the menu screen, the "thank you!" is so annoying, and if I press in mario's direction twice quickly, it sounds like mario is saying "Stuff you!"

Replay
2 / 10
I'm probably never going to play this again, it wasn't very much fun, too similar to SMA4, quite a few glitches, and no holes!

Final Words
3 / 10
This game is basically just SMA4, but nothing happens at the end of levels, and its glitchier. If you expect heaps of fun and replay value, don't play it, but for others, you should still give it a shot. It was good to kill time. Not something I would be playing all day though.

This review may be harsh for Jeff's benefit, but I can point out at least two statements here that are blatant lies.

Some things are good in this review, some are bad. The game indeed is somethimes frustrating and has some very big glitches (I informed Jeff already about them, so I hope he'll fix them), but I don't agree with the 3. 7 at least

Some glitches only happen on some of our computers, but don't occur to Jeff.

Mairo is also saying "Thank You" not "Stuff You".

if you could acctually understand what I was saying,
I pressed mario's direction on the title screen 2 times rapidly and it sounded like stuff you. I didn't say he was actually saying it.

Nothing happens at the end of levels because it's not done yet.

I know, but that doesn't exactly mean I can just say WHOOP! And give it a 9 because it will happen eventually can I?

Some of the complaints are valid, but a 3/10? How does 7 + 7 + 2 + 2 = 3? You were waaaaaay too harsh. Like, absurdly so.

for you information, I gave a 6, not a 7 for the first one and:

7

2 pulls down to the center

which is 4

another 2

pulls down to 2

and the six against both of them pulls it back up to three.

And the review got accepted didn't it?

This is the most horrible review I've ever seen on MFGG. Nearly everything you critisized were very unnoticable mistakes that had no impact on the game whatsoever. In fact, a lot of the "pointless" features and power-ups you mentioned are what actually plays a large part in a fan-game's success!

"He sould have just made a cape, because you get that, and you can fly." How does this relate with gameplay? The graphics are the only difference.

"However, the veggie system is annoying. It was alright for a game based on SMA4 though." What does that have to do with anything? Very few games have that feature and it's purpose is most certainly NOT determined by whether it's based on SMA4.

I'd also like to discuss how you gave the sounds/music rating a 2/10 for a few mere sounds. Do you even take the time to play through the game several times before reviewing, let alone get past the "infamous" sounds on the titlescreen?

Seriously, grow up.

all I did was point out some flaws. And clearly you are the one who needs to grow up if you can't respect my opinion.

I do respect your opinion, but there are certain problems. For one, I don't think you should TAKE a point away for adding a new feature, such as the veggie system. Also, I can see why you would want more freedom, but a cape would ruin some of the puzzles.

However, despite all that, this review is actually of decent quality.

However, I see one major problem in the review, that actually applies to most reviews. It seems like you judged even the good parts of the game more harshly than usual, just because you didn't like it. (Anyway, I could just be thinking this)But that is common to almost all reviews.

I'm actually glad a controversial opinion was posted.

You were looking for every reason to hate the game. No surprise you found what you were looking for. You should play a game to have fun... not to bash it senselessly. It was too similar to SMA4? Isn't it supposed to be? This is a fangame, not an original creation. The fact that you keep referring to SMB3 as SMA4 leads me to believe you don't have a lot of experience playing Mario games in the first place.

This review is ridiculously short and minor issues such as "annoying voices" do not justify the score given for the demo. Those voices were recorded by Nintendo, anyway, Jeff's only at fault for using them. And to dock points because you chose Mario twice in order to trigger his voice twice (and, surprise, you got what you were after) is just ****ing ridiculous.

Another problem with this review, it disregards the fact that this submission is a demo and scores on the same basis of a full game. Anyone with some common sense would not expect replay value in a demo, for example.

You don't have to like the game but don't write reviews if this is the sort of criticism you're going to give. I can assure you that no one is going to appreciate your "help". Don't mislead people to miss out on good games just because a game isn't designed to your exact specifications.
