General Commentary and Game Overview
A maze game? Uh, no... so, a puzzle game? Kind of... a platformer? Half-and-half...
Then WHAT THE HELL IS IT? Of course! It's a Metroidvania! Derp! Wait, how can you make Mario a Metroidvania, isn't that breaking the laws of physics? Not entirely true, but we'll see. We'll ALL see!

Pros Great, simple graphics
Short, but fun!
The tune that plays in the game is catchy

Cons As said, it's short
There is only ONE tune, it's good, but it...
Can drive you to insanity

Impressions
Gameplay
8 / 10
The gameplay seems to be a mash of Metroidvanias and the standard Mario gameplay. If you are not familiar with it, I'm talking blocks, coins (for only a portion of the game), and puzzles involving blocks. It's a Metroidvania in the sense that it's sort of a maze game. It's short, but sweet. You only have to find 5 important things, one of which you BUY, two of which are switches! It's crazy, but it works. It works really good. Well, good for a Metroidvania-Mario-mashup, anyway.

Graphics
7 / 10
They are simple, 8x8 graphics super-sized for the big screen size. I say, large pixels have never looked better. The creator of this game has really managed to make the game look neat without focusing entirely on the graphics. Something other games on the main site tend to do if a person is given a chance. Then again, it was made for a Mini-game Comp, so I'm sure they didn't spend THAT much time on the graphics.

Sound
4 / 10
One. Song. One FREAKING song. It plays over and over and over again. But at least it's listen worthy... for about ONE LEVEL. It could have at least had like, a song for the caves and a song for the outside, that would have been nice, especially for the type of game it is. I think I barely heard any sound effects, so yeah.

Replay
2 / 10
It's short, so replay would be expected, right? Well, partially right, anyways. You see, you cant really "replay" something like a Metroidvania, because, well, if you knew what one was it would be obvious. I mean, yeah, you can go back and beat your time and get missing items. But there are only 5 items, and the game itself is really short. Not so addicting, either. It took me around 7 minutes to complete, so that should give you an idea of how short the game is.

Final Words
7 / 10
If you want a short, but sweet Metroidvania inspired game, than this is definitely for you. However, if you want something of the length of say, Metroid : Zero Mission, look elsewhere, because this game is pretty short. Only FIVE ITEMS MAN!
