This looks pretty good. The only complaints I have are about the shading on the white sections and the four sprites in the bottom-right. There doesn't need to be a shadow around all of the outlines, but it's a small mistake a lot of pixel artists make at times, so it's not too bad. Maybe also change the shadow color to the same one for the hinge to save using another color.

As for the four in the bottom-right corner, they're 1 pixel shorter horizontally than all of the other Switchboard sprites. I can tell since the hinge itself is thinner than the others. There's some other issues you could fix like inconsistent pixels and the sprites on the right side being mirrored versions of the left side's (I can tell from the hinge's shading), but otherwise this was a nice attempt.

Thanks! I'm already getting updated on it... But I haven't seen anything about this checkerboard tileset yet.

the discord screenshot i linked should be enough evidence, as it's all i had to go off of anyway. you can keep searching if you'd like though

Sent an update that adds a shadow-less faint sprite for both (under the chin), and fixes the belly on the alternate fainted sprite so it lines up properly. As well, a very minor edit to the crown on the fainted sprites so it's shaded properly.

The small sprites are exactly the way they were in the game. The clipping is all on Nintendo. As for the map sprites, the originals were made by SuperSledgeBro. I just recolored them to be 8-bit.

That doesn't make it okay to leave be, though. The flaws are still there, possibly needing to be fixed.

A couple of gripes I have with this:
- Small Toad's pull sprite looks like the mushroom is clipping into the face.
- The map sprites use a recolored Super Mushroom for the head, and it looks too large in comparison to the body.
- The raccoon ears are missing the pale inner part.

Minus other slight graphical errors, you did an awesome job with this!

These graphics are fantastic! I think my favorite is the Yoshi Cookie.

Are we allowed to use these in any custom projects, as long as we give credit and/or have your permission to?

Thinking about it, you bring up a good point. A SMBX player skin for Mario does have the spin / ball jump for Sonic, last I remember, so I'll get to working on that after the next update.

They're good sprites but why isn't his jump him going into a ball?
"Sonic in Super Mario Land 1 & 2" makes me think of Sonic doing his normal moves in the style of those games, not him unnaturally doing Mario's poses.

In the description it said "as well as add their game-respective poses and moves" for adding more characters. I should've made it clear that this included Sonic, in which I'll go do that right now. Thank you for reminding me to clarify. Also, my perspective of this was looking at it like a ROM hack rather than what you mentioned, meaning Sonic would be a player skin of Mario.

The legs look too thin and give off an appearance similar to Weird Mario, but otherwise this looks pretty good.

Kind of a simple sheet but this looks great nonetheless. Great job!

Awesome sheets! The only thing in question is your'e not making a SMB3/SMAS or SMW version of this?

If I had to guess, it's because their logo fonts aren't grid-based like the previous two games'. They're drawn as actual, normal letters instead of block-based ones. I wouldn't expect to find sheets of them unless you check the rest of MFGG.

me and another user were planning this already but thanks for doing the work for us XD

This... doesn't exactly appeal to me well.

1. The eyes are fully black -- instead of white with black pupils -- and too small for both enemies.
2. The Goomba feet look like copy-pasted Shy Guy feet. They should be bigger to match Goomba proportions.
3. The first SNES Koopa sprite is overlapped by the wing of the underground NES variant. The outline goes over the SNES one's head.
4. The Koopas look too much like birds, specifically vultures (especially the SNES variant).
5. The NES wings don't even look like wings. Just spikes that fold down.
6. There's no Para-Goomba.
7. The SNES Para-Koopas' wings shouldn't be the same color as their skin; it should be white instead of gold.

This is a rough attempt but overall a nice one. 2/10.

"This time I decided to scrap SMB2 and SMAS SMB2 up for now since they are too unique and I would wait until official sprites for SMM stuff in SMB2 style come."

I disagree; you can give it a chance to make a Foo in that style, and even then, most people speculate that Doki Doki Panic / SMB2USA is too unique to itself rather than be a SMM2 theme. This is your custom sheet, anyway, so you still have the opportunity to make one with your own idea or ideas.

Yes, I am aware there's no "Desert" text. I noted it on a Twitter post for MFGG.

Man, this looks nice! Now I wonder what SMB2USA on the Game Boy would look like... [think emoji]

I'm sorry if that earlier comment came off as rude, by the way; I was just a bit irked from what I interpreted your words as.

...fine, I guess you're more of a VISUAL learner, then.
