Bowser is off to obtain anabolic steroids that will help him take over the world, so Mario must stop him in this fun and quirky platformer. Update - May 31, 2014: This update adds Windows 8 compatibility, Stop 'n' Swop goodies, a marginally better save system, a few graphical improvements, and some tweaks to Mario's mechanics. Plus, it's rumored that something good will happen if you finish all eight of the secret levels in this version!

This looks like Hello's Mario Engine...extended to look more Mario-ish! Great game! I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo made an actual game that looked exactly like this.

I thought that VinnyVideo was a user of the Ultramario engine. I don't know why he would switch to the inferior Hello engine, but I'll download and see for myself.

I actually don't feel like making a review on it anymore, to be honest.

Okay, so it is the hello engine, and like all other Hello Engine Games, the physics aren't too good. Oh well, I'll play it anyway. EDIT: Okay, I can't stand this game. It's too hard, and the levels would be good if the engine wasn't so screwy, but they feel like they were made for a smoother and easier engine, and the Hello engine with its poor collision and slippery turnarounds makes them frustrating. Unfortunately I gave up too early to write an official review, but I would advise VinnyVideo to avoid this engine in the future. Odd, I've played Hello games before that didn't annoy me this much. Eh, I guess Hello knows his own engine well and knows how not to push the level difficulty so far as to be intolerable under his engine.

VinnyVideo uses both engines. Each has its own flaws. Next time I might do something more "custom."

In the Subcon level, there are two bomb sprouts. Use them to break the wall and bust the bombable door. This takes you to a jumping area (which has sometimes had lag problems), and at the end are two Ice Flowers and a 1-Up. This is one of the eight special areas in the game, each with a Switch or a special power-up at the end.

EPIC life glitch!first,get a fireball,then go to brownie mountain.find a chargin chuck.throw a fireball at it,and jump on it while its shaking its head.keep bouncing.itl get up,but not follow you,and takes infinite jumps!you can keep ouncing to rack up lives super-fast.i got a hundred lives doing this.

The main forest level - the ironically-named Uighur Jungle - uses a MIDI from the Poochy levels in Tetris Attack. I ripped and edited it myself - it's one of the rare SPC-to-MIDI conversions that doesn't sound like utter rubbish. Someday I might go back and fix some of the more glaring flaws in this game. Then again, I might not.
