General Commentary and Game Overview
A game made in TGF with custom graphics. I think we've hit the jackpot, Scotty.

Or not.

Pros + Made in TGF. I LOOOVE games made with TGF.
+ 100% custom graphics. I LOOOVE custom graphics (when they don't suck).
+ A smooth movement engine...

Cons - ... with bugs, sadly.
- Some of the graphics suck.
- Sounds would be appreciated.
- Could have better midis.

Impressions
Gameplay
6 / 10
Custom engine. Cruise control for good.

Or is it? Yes and no in this case. Even though it's made quite nicely, it sadly has some bugs that weaken the gameplay. If it wasn't bug-ridden, it would get a 9, but now it only gets a 6.

Graphics
8 / 10
100% custom graphics are always a neat addition to any game. In this case too. Too bad some of them suck. Like the story drawings and some sprites like the Goombas. Animations are quite smooth too. Most of the sprites have random light sources too.

Sound
6 / 10
The sound effects are just plain boring and sorta weird. The sound when something hits you should be different. It sounds too much like the sound you make when you go into a pipe. And the grunt of a stomped Goomba gets annoying after a while.

The midis are not the usual assortment of SMB1 overworld trash, but they don't go that well with what's happening ATM.

Replay
1 / 10
I only gave this one a 1 because it's a demo and demos usually don't have any replay value. But I'll bet I'd play the full game a few times.

Final Words
7 / 10
Custom graphics and custom engine. A perfect mix. Except if they are not good. Which is the case here.
