General Commentary and Game Overview
A funny, original concept combined with smooth gameplay makes Yoshi vs. Windows a true classic.

Pros Nice concept, smooth Yoshi engine

Cons Graphics occasionally don't seem to match

Impressions
Gameplay
9 / 10
I've never seen the "destroy all enemies on screen then advance to next level" premise used so nicely. The level layouts are exceptionaly smart - I especially love the "Blue Screen of Death" level. And the Yoshi engine used is a very smooth one.

Graphics
7 / 10
This is Yoshi vs. Windows only real weak field. The graphics range from the Yoshi's Island-style Yoshi spritet to 8-bit SMB3 backdrops and enemies. It may sound odd, but the only thing that saves this game in this department are the Windows graphics, as they're constructed well and nicely used.

Sound
7 / 10
Has some annoying music in places, but other than that this is a pretty average field. Why don't fangames try focusing on sound/music more often?...

Replay
8 / 10
Quite a bit of replay value. This is one of those games I find myself going back to a lot.

Final Words
8 / 10
Finally, a game that combines my love of Yoshi with my hatred of Microsoft. How could it be bad?
