If you want a birdo that feels very "16 bit" then go to SMAS. SMW doesn't shade sprites as much as other SNES games, and it doesn't help that there's only 2 pinks in the only pink palette in the game (not counting the pink palette for Ludwig in the credits, which is too dull)

Unless you make the bg colo(u)r transparent, something like this isn't quite easy to fix, unfortunately.

There's no pink in any of these palettes, so a pink background could work. Seems like an easy fix, although I was just saying the description is extremely boastful.

The light blue color and that background color are almost identical, making it hard to make out the outlines on sprites that use that one without using another version of the sprite as a guide. I wouldn't call that "simply perfect"
