General Commentary and Game Overview
It's one of those Mario fan games with out the bells and whistles and just some good old Mario platforming. There's no bright details or complex elements that most people expect from a fan game, it's just...well, Mario! It's a FUN game that's simplisticly fun.

Pros -Nice Blending of Retro Elements with some simple content. -Many challenging elements for each level. -Level layouts are perfects for a Mario game like this. Items and enemies are also placed in the right spots -The level editor is an excellent add-on to itself.

Cons -The brief invincibility after powering down seems quick at some points. -The world map was very bland and not well detailed unlinke many of the levels.

Impressions
Gameplay
10 / 10
This is how Mario games should be made. In Programming. Not that I have anything against Game Maker of TGF, but it's always nice to see a Mario in C++ once in a while. This game had very authentic collision with enemies, nice use of powerups, and just a general feel of a Mario Game.

Graphics
8 / 10
Even though graphics are not a main priority when it comes to a game like this, they were done in a decent manner. The backgrounds for some of the levels reminded of of Tetris DS which was a very nice idea. The map could of used a little more detail, but it wasn't eye bleeding stuff.

Sound
9 / 10
The MIDIs and Sound Effects worked just fine together. For many levels it worked, like Fungi Forest and the up beat Toad House which I loved. Using actual SFX from the games worked fine with no deafining input.

Replay
9 / 10
Even though it's fun, there's nothing left to do after you beat the levels. You could go to the level editor and make your own stuff though, which is also nice to do.

Final Words
9 / 10
Despite it not having many amazing and innovative stuff that people expect from a fan game, it sure was a ton of fun to play. If people need inspiration on how to make fun and simple Mario games, this is the prime example.
