It's nice to have some ways to make a character sprite look more expressive. I also like the tall Peach sprites. Overall, I say you did rather good at this!

Very nice! It looks just as if it was from the original game if the developers were to use this Podoboo design! I think some additional animations would be nice (such as a dizzy animation), but it still looks good nonetheless!

Ah, I kinda miss this guy, its design always looked kinda mysterious and suits how they're related to coins. The sprites look pretty good and seem to fit the style, by the way!

Nice blocks! I can definitely see this as being useful for those that want to make SML2-style games (or even Gameboy-style games).

I kinda like the looks of this tileset. Overall, it looks rather interesting! Good work, LeGogh!

Hey, this looks pretty sleek and snazzy, I must say. Great job at this, Gatete!

About what you just posted, SteliosPapas, I have sent you a PM since I don't want this comment section to keep on getting derailed.

Anyway, it seems that DerGrüneToad has made a gameplay video of the game quite some time ago! Here's a link to it if you're interested:

https://tinyurl.com/yahxyg9m

(in case you haven't played the game yet, you can also make the Gooble jump and move backwards, even if the video didn't demonstrate those moves at all and showed the Gooble hugging the right side of the screen for the whole game)

Self-made Island has also made a video of the game that I'd like to share a link to, but it seems to have been taken down. It's too bad that it had to disappear, since I thought he did quite well at the game, obtaining a score of over 30,000 points!

Also, I'd like to tell you all that there is something special that you only get to see after you reach above a certain score. Looking at the online high scores table, it seems that nobody (besides me, Quillax) has yet to reach that point. Maybe some day, however, someone will be skilled enough and get enough points to see the reward. I guess we'll just have to see.

I just want to say that I appreciate the fact that you gave the sound files names. It's not so easy finding a good collection of sound effects that have actual names and aren't named like "1031.wav" or "MarioGameSound284.wav", which makes them nearly useless unless I decide to listen to each sound effect and name them what I think they are, which feels really tedious (especially with thousands of sounds that a lot of games have nowadays).

Thanks for asking, but keep in mind that I have other stuff that I'd like to do at the moment. If I have time and interest in doing another sprite sheet, I may do what you suggested. Also, I don't know why are you specifically asking me if I could do this stuff, since I'm sure there are others here that might like to do sprites for you (especially if you show them what you have, like your ideas and screenshots); you could perhaps post your project and what sprites you'd like to have on the forums (a link to it can be found under "Community" on the menu at the left). As I said before, I didn't say that I won't do it, it's just not in top priority for me right now.

I have submitted a SMW-style Bopping Toady sprite sheet to the site a few days ago (only because I wanted to do another sprite sheet and thought the Bopping Toady wouldn't be too hard), it's in the queue at the moment.

Anyway, I'd like this comment section to get on-topic. Does anyone here that had played the game have time to say anything about it? I'm not trying to demand attention and I understand if people have been busy lately, it just seems ridiculous and feels frustrating to see almost a month pass and yet absolutely no comments on it since release.

Yeah, they're actually very cool! Besides the fact that Waluigi faces 90 degrees away from the camera (most of the SMB2 characters face like 45 degrees or so away from the camera), they look very faithful to the game! Nice work!

Hm, maybe. What requested game are you talking about, and what kind of frog are you thinking about (I was thinking of the one from Super Mario Land 2)?

Haha, that thumbnail is amusing! The sprites look pretty good!

Whoa, that's quite beautiful! Nice job!

Whoa, when I made my own Bumper design back in 2016, I never thought anyone would follow, and look what happened now. The design and sprites look nice, though, I like that people are making their own bumper designs.

Nice idea! The tiles look rather cool, I'm looking forward to seeing you convert the rest of the game into SMB3.

Great sprites! I agree that they're the best SMB3 Waluigi sprites I've ever seen, I can actually imagine them appearing in the original SMB3!

This is a cute game, love the graphics! Is the Cheep-Cheep that chases you supposed to be a redesign of a type of Cheep-Cheep or a new enemy? I'm just curious. I looked through Mario Wiki, but I couldn't find anything that looks like them.

Very nice, I like it. Looks useful.

To those on Windows who can't make it a .png file because file extensions aren't displayed, this helped me out:

Anyway, the sprite sheet looks like a nice alternative to the original sprites! I'm looking forward to seeing Toad!
