Pros | -Overhead Zelda view in a mario game
-Shooting fireballs is great fun
-Very unique gameplay, music, graphics
and overall a unique game and experience.
-Should I really talk about the visuals? They're tremendous, eye
candy at it's finest. You see Cheep
Cheeps hopping about in the first level
as you traverse through the treacherous
terrain.
-Cool maze like levels
-some custom artwork
-You battle Sonic the Hedgehog
instead of Bowser, which is quite
odd but it is still a hilarious
concept since he is one of Mario's
rivals in game fame. I would have
thrown in Crash Bandicoot and his
dainty little warthog companion, but
that's just me. |
Cons | -At times it can be as aggrivating
as Mario Minigame Madness, because
as far as I remember Mario can't jump.
-The bouncing-ball thing doesn't
work with enemies, but there are
ways to work around this mild hindrance
(such as using passwords tee hee).
-Umm, Sonic the Hedgehog became a totalitarian dictator and took over
Bowser's Castle? Highly unlikely.
-Mario's primary (and only) way
to fight enemies is with fireballs.
-Mushroom soldiers can be defeated.
That is just ridiculous and saddistic.
-It has some language, beware. How
dumb is that? |
Gameplay 7 / 10 |
It can be redundant at times, but
it's a thrill ride of fun overall.
Wish he could jump, Mario that is. |
Graphics 5 / 10 |
Splendid mario rpg-ish graphics
some stuff even custom, like the
signs. But NOT a 10/10 at all. |
Sound 10 / 10 |
Wonderful music and sounds! It is
truly adequate of the Mario series. Anyone will love to hear the music
of the first level, the delightful
SMB3 music. As for the fireball
sound, it is burrowed from the old
NES mario brothers games and sounds
just like it did before. |
Replay 2 / 10 |
One could go insane playing this
more than once. You wouldn't want
to. |

Average game but kind of fun nevertheless, in a ridiculous way. |
