This isn't unused; if you jump into a vase in Boo's Mansion, Mario will turn 8-bit.

Hey guys, April Fools is over. Isn't it time to turn the site back to normal?

Link never had pink hair, it was probably an accident or a joke

Still though, it helps to differentiate the Link to the Past Link from all the other Links across the series. Also, the one comment I said was a joke, this is still a pretty good sprite sheet even without the pink hair.

No pink hair. Instant dislike.

This sheet looks cool and all..

but the SMBSS Bowser looked like one of those Dragon Gang members from My Little Pony and friends
<img src="; />

I sorta see the resemblence, but compared to the artstyle of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show and the sprite that King Koopa's based off of, it doesn't really look identical.

look pretty cool, the tall shy guy was created by the User MegaToon1234 I did it in Version Boo

Probably should've used Awesomezack's shy guy, as that one has the correct height.

I thought this was from the Game Boy port of SMB and SMB2...

Yeah, it's from Super Mario Bros. Deluxe; the water was stationary in the Lost Levels, like it's prior game.

I checked and the Spiny sprites are actually only 1 pixel shorter and 9 pixels wider than the Crabmeat sprites in those 2 styles.

They still probably look gigantic compared to Sonic's sprites in those games though.
Feb 9 2020, 4:42 PM See Page
These look pretty good, but the Sonic 2 8-bit and Sonic 1 Master System sprites should probably not be the same size as the Genesis sprites.

If it's not too hard to ask for, would it be possible to start adding slopes to your tilesets?

Wasn't there already a SMB3 Tryclyde on this site?

I was expecting a program like YY-CHR. How did you get the unused graphics?

Savestates. vSNES also lets you view the tiles of the ROM in general, and is better than YY-CHR due to having accurate colors. You'll need a savestate though.

What did you use for ripping? How long did it take?

ZSNES and vSNES. And not too long, about a few days or so.

This is fabulous!! I don't see a single missing tile there!

About the unused tiles, where did you find the upside down hill slopes and unused shallow water? I had seen the water graphic before in the ROM but I didn't know it was supposed to be water.

The unused water tiles I'm pretty sure are reshades of the NES originals, and the upside-down slopes were found with the rest of the grass tiles. Couldn't find the tiles for the one slope though.

Very nice sheet as always. Pretty cool coincidence that this came after my two SMAS SMB3 rips.

Does anyone still have the 2004 version of this sheet?

Those evil hands from Eversion would probably work very well in a Mario game. Not sure what they're called.

Looks very nice, like the rest of your sheets. Only real complaint I have is that Snow Pokey is missing, but that's only one enemy that could probably just be edited from the regular pokey.
