General Commentary and Game Overview
I first though this would be like Syobon Action, and that you'd go through prerendered level to reach the goal while avoiding traps that you have to memorize in order to survive.

Luckily that was NOT the case.

Pros - Very appealing audio visually
- Is surprisingly fun and doesn't get boring too easily

Cons - "Unfairness" can easily frustrate

Impressions
Gameplay
8 / 10
Idea behind the game is simple, jump from platform to platform to collect treasure and avoid obstacles. There are rocks and stone blocks falling from the ceiling, bodopoos emerging from lava, spikes extracting from the floor. Some platforms also can fall or have a spring board hidden into them. Some traps are a bit unfair (but that's the whole point). Falling stones fall a little before you are under them and they fall pretty fast leaving minimal reaction time. When you are in midair and weren't expecting a stone to fall on you, a hit is inevitable. Spring are also very cruel, since there no way to tell what platforms have them. And what if a spring lauches you right into a falling stone block, frustration is ensured. You can always take your time and activate the traps first right? Wrong! Occasionally there are huge amount of rocks falling right behind you and slowly catching up to you. when you hit an obstacle, you fly of the screen and respawn into midair. I personally find this lazy, and it feels more professional if Mario were to respawn to the spot where he was on the ground last. Despite all the "flaws" the game is very fun and challenging.

Graphics
10 / 10
The graphics are superb. Some are from Mario Party Advance and possibly from Warioland 4 (not too sure). I personally would have guessed they would go together this well. The background also changes between day/evening/night/dawn which is a nice touch.

Although this game would have fit Wario better, since he's the know greedy treasure hunter while Mario is a generic hero.

Sound
9 / 10
Sound effect do their job nicely and so does the music, which sets a tense mood to the game.

Replay
8 / 10
I gave this a few tries before quitting. I'll probably give this few more tries later.

PS. Online hiscore rocks.

Final Words
8 / 10
It might be unfair, but that doesn't ruin the experience.

Good review, good score, can't complain.
Though I'll mention one thing:

The reason Mario was used instead of Wario was because the idea for this game came from James Rolfe's "Board James" episode (Deadly Danger Dungeon). The original concept was for a board game and the piece he happened to use to play the game was of Mario.

So, just explaining that for you.

P.S.
It would have been nice if you mentioned how the levels are completely randomly generated, as that's a big part to the game.

I may not be saying that directly. But if you read through the review carefully, you probably are left with an impression of randomly generated levels.
